Update Atlas is made by one person. For questions, missing software or an incorrect update result, contact hi@alperenalan.com. Include the app name, installed version and what looks wrong; avoid sending file paths, credentials or unrelated personal information.

Update Atlas is free. Supporting development is entirely optional: no paid scan results, no feature unlock and no requirement to donate.

The link opens an external service. Review the amount, currency and whether the payment repeats before confirming there. Update Atlas does not process the payment or receive your card details. You can also help by reporting incorrect results; no payment is needed.

Can I download the app?

Update Atlas is currently in private testing. There is no public download yet. It is built for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. The app offers English, Turkish, Russian, German, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese interface languages.

Does it install updates?

In the development version, eligible Sparkle, Homebrew and Microsoft AutoUpdate apps offer an explicit confirmation flow. App Store apps open their product page. Scanning never installs updates automatically. Installation support is still being tested.

Why does a result say a source is pending?

An installed item may not have a reliable latest-version source yet. That does not mean the item is up to date. Failed checks and unverified versions remain visible.

Does scanning use the internet?

Normal checks can contact release sources, and package inventory can query registries. Use update-atlas scan --offline for local metadata only. It skips external package commands and Docker; Homebrew/npm receipts are read locally and unavailable version evidence stays unverified.
