Menu Bar Converter is made by one person. For questions, a wrong rate or a missing currency, write to hi@alperenalan.com. Include the app version (Settings → About) and what looks wrong.

Where is the app after I open it?

In the menu bar at the top right of your screen — the exchange rate, such as “$1 = €0.89”. Click it to open the converter. If you turned the rate off in Settings, look for the currency symbol instead.

Why does my bank show a different rate?

The app shows market reference rates from its sources. Banks and exchange offices add their own margin and fees, so their rates differ. The rates are for information only.

How often do rates change?

Currencies from ExchangeRate-API and the European Central Bank are published once a day; crypto from Coinbase is priced live. The footer shows when the app last checked, and how old the rates are when they are from an earlier day.

A currency shows “—”

The selected source doesn’t carry that currency. Choose Automatic in Settings for the widest coverage: 160+ currencies plus the top cryptocurrencies.

Does it work offline?

Yes, with the last rates it downloaded. The footer says “Offline” until the connection returns.
